As we know by two molds injection with over molding system, the locating of inner colored part will be the big problem, as we need to manual or use robot system to pick the first colored part out from the first mold, and then put it to the second mold to have the second shot injection! Innovation is key for the future of mold making companies,

no matter plastic part design also mold structure design.

For example multi colored parts, nowadays still not so widespread in many countries, but sure will be the trend! Trend to open a new colored market to catch people’ eyes. Mold maker should have good taste of modern design, to share customer good ideas to win the market.

After rich experiences of double molding, we find our own advance tech:

For overmold as above picture for plastic houseware, locating of inner colored part into second mold may be the problem. Because you know it is by man hand put, not as precision as the mechanics. But finally we find the solution and successfully solved.

For two color mold by rotary injection machine, precision choose the right place of sample for two colors melting will be the key. Also injection cycle, machine parameters set up is the other main point to get excellent performance 2 color molds.
