How to Make a Two-Color Kids Step Stool Mold (PP+TPE)
Mold Specifications:
Plastic Materials: PP + TPE
Cavity Number: 1+1
Steel for Core & Cavity: 1.2738HH
Gate Type: 4 tips HR point
Injection Machine: 400 ton rotary table
A two-color kids step stool mold combines hard and soft materials in one product.
The hard part uses PP for strength and stability.
The soft part uses TPE for a non-slip, comfortable surface where children stand.
This mold is made with a 1+1 cavity layout.
One cavity molds the PP base, and the other molds the TPE overmold.
The injection machine has a 400-ton clamping force and a rotary table.
After the first shot (PP), the rotary table moves the preform to the second station.
Then the TPE is injected onto the designated areas.
This process creates a perfect bond between the two materials.
We use 1.2738HH steel for the core and cavity.
This steel offers excellent polishability, wear resistance, and uniform hardness.
It ensures long mold life and consistent part quality.
The 4-point hot runner system delivers precise material flow into each cavity.
It reduces waste and improves surface finish.
Cooling channels are carefully designed to shorten cycle time and prevent warpage.
Venting is also placed properly to avoid air traps.
Every detail is checked to ensure safe, durable step stools for children.
At YUEYI, we focus on practical, high-performance molds.
