Here I’ll share with you some info about the axis rotary (shaft rotary) machine, it is suit for the plastic parts which have both sides double colored, for example the toothbrushes! There are also several ways to have the molded brushes:
- by axis rotary machine + normal 2k toothbrush mold
- by normal 2k machine + 2k brush mold with in mold rotary system
- table rotary machine + 2k brush mold with in mold rotary system
- two molds injection by over molding (insert molding)
What is axis rotary machine?? On the machine moving platen should equipped with below structure, together with the center axis, below the red marked axis in picture two, to eject the center insert and turn it 180° to shift the first color part to the second color!
Then what’s the difference between the normal 2k brush mold & in mold rotary?? Well, here the normal 2k brush mold means, the injection machine has the structure or system to drive the red center axis directly! If no, then we have to make the center axis rotate in the mold, we’ll use a rack system which will be driven by hydraulic cylinder, to drive to rotate the center axis!
