Innovation is key for the future of mold making companies,

no matter plastic part design also mold structure design.

For example multi colored parts, nowadays still not so widespread in many countries, but sure will be the trend! Trend to open a new colored market to catch people’ eyes. Mold maker should have good taste of modern design, to share customer good ideas to win the market.

To have multi shot plastic parts, over molding & two color molding is the solution. Compared to the former, line for two color mold, two color machine invest cost will be higher. 

But as you see manufacturing time takes much longer since over molding needs two molds injection, manual work after inner part colored and cooling. In additionally, defect rate of two colored parts much more higher because man hand directly influence the locating of inner to have second shot. 

Time is money! 

Also two color molding will be the trend rather than over molding. Now is the right time to familiar with it, open and occupy your market, before most factory can do that. 

That’s why we suggest two color mold with rotational system, return on investment definitely will be much more greater.

After rich experiences of double molding, we find our own advance tech:

For overmold as above picture for plastic houseware, locating of inner colored part into second mold may be the problem. Because you know it is by man hand put, not as precision as the mechanics. But finally we find the solution and successfully solved.

For two color mold by rotary injection machine, precision choose the right place of sample for two colors melting will be the key. Also injection cycle, machine parameters set up is the other main point to get excellent performance 2 color molds.
