There are three ways to manufacture the 2 component brush handles:
- One is by overmolding, it will needs two molds injection, run by the normal single color injection machine.
- Second is two color mold + shaft rotary two color machine
- While the third is two color brush in mold rotary + normal two color machine.
As we all know the first one, so here let’s talk about the second & third ones!
If we go ahead with the second, then it needs the machine should be equipped with the shaft rotary structure! At the same time, needs double injection nozzles! Check below pics:
But the two color mold will be relatively easier than the third way! As by the third, will need the toothbrush in mold rotary, i.e. no need the machine have the shaft rotary structure (but sure needs double injection nozzles), it will complete the rotary in the mold.
Above all, by the second, the two color mold will be easier, but the machine is more complex; while by the third, the mold is much more complex, but the machine easier!!!
